The Association of Illinois Middle-Grade Schools (AIMS) is hosting a reception for attendees from our state at AMLE Conference on Middle Level Education in Columbus, Ohio.

The AIMS reception will be held on Friday, October 16 beginning at 6 PM in Rooms C213 and 215 at the Columbus Convention Center.

Conference attendees are invited to meet and greet colleagues from throughout the state of Illinois.

Refreshments will be served and there is no charge.

Through federal funds, the Illinois Department of Public Health is able to offer free online training simulationsfor middle and high school personnel to learn to recognize signs of psychological distress and connect students to support services.

  • Is your school staff worried about particular students?
  • Does your staff struggle with how to approach students?


I wish to extend a welcome to the 2015-16 academic term and an invitation for your school to become part of the growing number of Illinois middle schools that are members of the Association of Illinois Middle- Grade Schools (AIMS). Our goal is to provide middle schools throughout the state with support, networking opportunities, staff development and recognition for exemplary middle level educational practices.

The Association of Illinois Middle Grade Schools (AIMS) is accepting applications from schools seeking initial designation as an Illinois Horizon School to Watch (IHSTW).
