Staff Members of Evergreen Academy Middle School

The emphasis always has been on the positive at Evergreen Academy Middle School, one of the few stand-alone middle schools in the Chicago Public Schools.  However, with the addition of weekly advisory to its program,  Evergreen’s students and staff have enjoyed new levels of communication and have found that academics are affected positively as well.  Hear from Evergreen’s staff members about their program, and come away with practical suggestions for your classroom.

Evergreen Academy is an Illinois Horizon School to Watch.  Staff members routinely risk participation in new programs and initiatives; presently, the school is a CPS early adoption school for the Common Core Standards, and it was on the forefront of student eighth grade algebra participation in the past.  The enthusiasm of its staff and students is infectious!
