Co-Teaching: The Good, The Bad, The Process

This presentation will focus on the process for implementing co-teaching into the middle school.  In addition to the process, one of Crone’s co-teaching teams will present the benefits and challenges to co-teaching in the middle school. We hope you leave the presentation with:

1. A process for implementing co-teaching along with the needed professional development.

2. An understanding of how a co-teaching relationship functions specific to the benefits, challenges and planning of the process.

Allan Davenport is principal of Crone Middle School in Naperville District 204.  Prior to becoming an administrator, he was a team leader and taught Language Arts and Social Studies at East Richland Middle School in Olney, Illinois.

Elizabeth Mancilla is an eighth grade Support teacher at Crone Middle School.

Keisha Rembert is an eighth grade Language Arts teacher at Crone Middle School
