Teaming in the Middle
Learn how to create team rules and norms in order to set the stage for a great middle school year. Bonnie and Kim will share how to put together a productive weekly team agenda to best address daily teacher and student needs. They will share examples successful teaming practices such as creating team norms, planning weekly curriculum connections, team supply lists and special education collaboration planning.
Bonnie Zavoral is a thirty-two year teaching veteran with over twenty years of teaming experience while teaching various disciplines of science. She is also a National Board Certified teacher and co-teaches at Eastern Illinois University in the education department.
Kim Sherwood is in her eleventh year teaching full inclusion middle school science at Charleston Middle School. She serves the Association of Illinois Middle-Grade Schools as an Area Representative.
