Exploratory Summit, February 28th

The Association of Illinois Middle Grade Schools is excited to invite middle school exploratory educators to our 2025 Exploratory Summit, an event designed to inspire and elevate the practices that shape our students’ futures. This year’s summit will focus on fostering inclusive, technology-driven, multilingual, and social-emotional learning (SEL) environments that empower students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Presentations are geared around the following topics:
- Exploratory Learning: Creative and hands-on approaches that engage students in real-world, interdisciplinary projects.
- Technology Integration: Leveraging tools and platforms to enhance student engagement and learning in exploratory subjects.
- Multilingual/Dual Language Practices: Strategies for supporting and celebrating diverse linguistic backgrounds in the classroom.
- Inclusive Education: Techniques for fostering an environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
- Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): Practices that build students’ emotional intelligence and resilience in an engaging and thoughtful way.
